Dear SJV Family,
We hope you’re staying safe and healthy during this challenging time. We miss each and every one of you.
Following the direction of Governor Jay Inslee’s order on April 6, 2020, the Office of Education and Catholic Schools of Spokane Diocese will continue to be closed for the remainder of this school year, to support the safety of our families and our broader community during the COVID-19 pandemic. While our building will be closed, our faculty and staff is continuing to work hard to support you and our students. Our work continues.
In anticipation of an extended closure, we have been working to ensure that we are fully prepared to support our students remotely throughout the spring. Our commitment to providing our high quality educational program has never been so focused.
We know that school closures as extended as this have significant impacts on families and cause ripples throughout our community, so this is something that we take very seriously. We will continue our contingency plans and will send communication out to you as needed.
While our building may be closed, our students still deserve access to high quality learning. We take comfort in the strength and creativity of our faculty and staff and the stability of our family partnerships to push our community forward during this challenging time. It's truly a team effort to keep our community strong and I don’t think we’ve ever been stronger together than we are right now.
As we enter into Holy Week, we draw deeply from the font of God's grace and mercy, confident that his strength and love will see us through this challenging time. Thank you for your courage and resilience and for the love you have always shown us.
In Christ,
Nick Senger, Principal
