Background
Mrs. Theresa Hughes teaches Second Grade. She has her Associate of Arts Degree in Social Sciences, Bachelor of Arts Degree in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Speech, and Master's Degree in Multicultural Education. Mrs. Hughes has 36 years of teaching experience. She has been teaching at St. John Vianney for 25 years and has taught Preschool, Second Grade, Third Grade, and Fourth Grade.  

Educational Philosophy
Mrs. Hughes' philosophy of education is that every child should have the right to learn and get a quality education. Learning should be fun and exciting. Her classroom will be an inviting and safe place where children will feel comfortable to be the best they can be. She enjoys teaching the Catholic faith to her students. She tries to make each student realize that we all need to love and serve the Lord with all our heart and soul. To treat each other with kindness and respect.
